The windscreen is really two problems, the size of the glass and the size of the car. If I wanted a premium car I would have looked elsewhere. The gen 3's are undeniably more refined than the first two and the quality of material have gone up but to me the MINI is about the fun factor. Personally, I've never considered MINI to be a premium brand, I've always considered MINI to be the BMW's unruly step-brother.

I only just started treating mine after 1.5 years other than my damaged arch (see new thread).try valet pro black to the future. Trestments look great initially then seem to enhance the ageing process. Re the plastic trim from yesrs of r series struggles i have come to thr coclusion that the longer you can leave the plastics alone the better.

Mmm likewise i am sure bmw drivers see us as the budget bmw brand, bmw probably do too,its their way in to a bigger volume market without diluting their values etc. Mm basically i think i am agreeing with you here but. All things to all maybe but perhaps being a jack of all trades makes you master of none? Looks great inside and thankfully different inside too, goes well at a good price and VERY cheap to run. The windsreen thing is due to design rather than quality,minis have a much more vertical screen and therefore attracts chips! in other respects i think you have been unlucky. They are the best here in Arizona.īut I do scratch my head on this premium brand thing.

I now have stone chips on the driver side rear quarter panels.:|Īs far as my Dealer Experience ( Mini of Tempe) to resolve my issues they have been outstanding and never let me down or gave me excuses they just fixed the problems. Otherwise my Mini is a little Gem the 3 cylinder engine is fantastic and the interior built quality is wonderful but I am a little concerned since I have already so many small issues how the car will look and perform 3 years+ down the road when the warranty is expired.Īnd let,s not forget the thin paint and how easy the glass chips and cracks. Today I washed the car and found that the chrome trim behind the B Pillar on the left side starts to lift off the body because it is warped and the rubber starts to separate from the trim

I have the car (2015 F56 3 Cylinder) now for a 1 1/2 years 18k on the clock and the following things need to be fixed If you think about it that a Mini can easily hit 40K with the right options and by model. First of let me say I still love my Mini and would buy another one in the future but honestly I am not so sure about Mini been a premium brand any longer.
